Traffic to be impacted for Luke Bryan’s Clovis concert: Here’s how

CLOVIS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – With Luke Bryan performing in Clovis Friday, significant traffic is expected. Law enforcement is advising concert goers and motorists to plan ahead.

The crowd for Luke Bryan’s concert in Clovis is expected to be around 20,000 people. Traffic congestion is anticipated from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Expect traffic congestion for Luke Bryan concert in Atwater

The gate for Bryan’s concert will open to guests at 5 p.m. The opening acts will begin around 6:30 p.m. Bryan is scheduled to take the stage at 9:30 p.m., and the concert will end at 11 p.m.

Parking for Bryan’s event at the Ponds at Harlan Ranch in Clovis on May 16 opens at 2 p.m.

Those who are planning to go to the concert must buy a parking pass. No day of parking sales will be available.

As for the traffic itself, here’s what will be detoured:

  • Travelers on eastbound Highway 168 will be detoured to Owens Mountain Parkway or Shepherd Avenue, leading to the Thompson Avenue Parking and concert location
  • Post-concert traffic will exit via Shepherd Avenue or Tollhouse Road and return to Highway 168 via Owens Mountain Parkway

Regarding what will be open and closed is listed below:

  • Shepherd Avenue will remain open at Highway 168 for through traffic
  • Sections of Shepherd Avenue will be restricted to concert-related traffic. Non-concert vehicles will be directed east or west onto Highway 168

CHP adds a designated Rideshare Drop-Off and Pick-Up zone will be located on Thompson Avenue. There will also be signage, and traffic personnel will be in place to direct all rideshare vehicles safely in and out of the area.
